Welcome to the 5th International Fair Trade Towns Conference -Beyond 1000 Fair Trade Towns!
The conference “Beyond 1000 Fair Trade Towns” is a meeting place for steering group members of our more than 1000 Fair Trade Towns in over 20 countries around the globe. Come to Malmö on 19-20 November 2011 to meet committed people, learn, discuss and get inspired!

When?
19-20 November. The conference starts Saturday at 10am and ends Sunday at 3pm. If you arrive Friday, there will be a mingle in the evening at Comfort Hotel.
Where?
The conference will take place at Orkanen, University of Malmö. Adress: Nordensjiöldsgatan 10, five minutes walk from Malmö Central station. |

Who can participate?
Each country and each steering group in Sweden has a limited number of delegates to send to the conference. Talk to your national or local coordinator before registration. The conference fee is 700 SEK, Fair Trade Town representatives travelling from outside Sweden as well as one representative per Swedish steering group are welcome free of charge. Lunch on Saturday and Sunday is provided as well as dinner on Saturday night.

Content
Day 1 will give you the opportunity to dig into one of the five Fair Trade Town goals, to share best practice and to create new ideas for the future. In the afternoon there will be an open event with speeches and entertainment. In the evening the deputy mayor and president of Malmö Fairtrade City, Lari Pitkä-Kangas, invites all congress delegates to a dinner at the City Hall. Day 2 we become visionary and focus even more on the future and the theme “beyond 1000 Fair Trade Towns”. Subjects as joint campaigning, communcation and how to link Fair Trade Towns and producer groups closer together will be discussed
